Diamond Grading

Diamond is not a cheap item, while buying certified diamonds you must require knowing about the diamond grading criteria that is implemented by the laboratories performing the certification. Diamond grading covers several features of every single diamond’s qualities, but most important is to know about four grades or 4 Cs: cut clarity, color, and carat weight. Except the 4 Cs further grades and size noted just like the depth as well as table is part of the diamond’s cut.Following are the guidelines through that you can know about how diamonds are graded.

Diamond Cut

Cut is perhaps the most significant quality factor as well as most demanding, of the 4 Cs to identify. The brightness of a diamond relies greatly on its cut.

Diamond Clarity

Most diamonds hold some internal faults, or enclosures, that arise during the creation process. These faults and enclosures in the diamond show the clarity of the diamond. If a diamond has less flaws and inclusions then it looks like clearer. If these errors and faults increase during the formation of the diamond then it will not be clear. Clarity of a diamond has a big affect for the brilliance of the diamond. Therefore diamond clarity is most important for the brightness and beauty of the diamond.

Diamond Color

Diamond should be colorless because the colorless diamonds are the most attractive. Colorless diamonds permit best refraction of light that create brilliance. Other than the off white diamonds permit less light for the refraction and absorb light that cause for the less brightness. Always select the colorless diamond because diamond is well liked due to its brightness and colorless diamonds refract enough light as compare to the off white diamonds.

Carat Weight

Weight of the diamonds has a great affect in the prices of the diamonds. Large diamonds are rare and not found commonly as compare to the small diamonds. Therefore the prices of the large diamonds are high and the prices of the small diamonds are low. Weight of the diamonds is measured by a specific unit that is known as carat. All these guidelines show the superior understanding about the definition of the carat and how it involves the look of a diamond.

The Fifth C: Certificates

Checking for all the above 4 Cs a fifth C is introduced that is known as the diamond certificate, you can also call it a grading report. This diamond certificate or grading report is a complete appraisal of your diamond that can be done only by an experienced diamond certified with the help of extraordinary gemological tools.
